3 in a row...

Summer Nationals - July 2, 2009

Last weekend Will turned in the fast time 3 nights in a row on the heated Summernationals tour.  Granite City, IL Atwood, TN and Paducah, KY were all challenging stops and with top drivers at every track Will managed the fastest time to beat.  Last year Vaught ran the entire 30 nights but as this season unfolds the team is only hitting a few weekends.  Finishing top 10 in every race except Granite City last week team Vaught continues to Thrill the crowds.

Monett Speedway

June 7, 2009

Will ended up finishing with a strong 4th place at Monett Speedway Sunday night after a long drive home from Eldora, Ohio.  For any Vaught fans in the crowd the car might have looked a little differnt than the night before... Returning home the team decided it would be best to finish the weekend out with a home track advantage.  With both Moyer Victory Circle cars set up for Ohio Will brought out the GRT out for a great race.  Easlily making the feature starting 3rd row inside Will raced his way up finishing 4th for the night.  thanks for all the hometown support and look for us next weekend in Indiana and Illinois for a few Summer National races.

Eldora Speedway - June 6, 2009

The green flag was thrown Saturday afternoon with all drivers having a now or never mind set,  Will jumped out from his 5th row start to 5th position in the first lap around Eldora's half mile of dirt.  Moving into 4th place after 2 cautions it wasn't long before the "Dream" came to a surprising end.  Pushing hard Vaught caught air into turn 1 causing him to be sucked into the unforgiving wall.  With a positive attitude after the race said that his car ran much better than it did in time trials the day before and he would be back in September for the World 100.  Vaught was coming strong showing everyone he wasn't affraid to hold his McKenna owned Moyer Victory Circle wide open around Eldora's high banked track.  Not a bad run at all for someones first time ever racing Eldora and its just a matter of time this season before you see Will Vaught at the top of the headlines.
